Spring signals the end of winter and the beginning of rejuvenation for another year.
Spring brings the greening of grass, the budding of trees and the building of nest
by our favorite birds. Empty ugly dormant planters will be transformed into colorful,
exciting expessions of life. Eventually spring will turn into summer and the long
awaited season when we can go outside and play again.
During the summer months, there will be walking and talking and waiting for friends
under the clock tower. There will be walking the dog to the neighborhood coffee
shop or favorite pub and hanging out on the patio under the big umbrellas. There
will be sitting on the hip benches at the best people watching location in town.
There will be the parking of bicycles after a ride to the transit station or meeting
with friends for a group ride. There will be the laughter of kids playing in the
courtyards while their parents converse in circles formed with moveable and
stackable chairs. There will be tee times, softball tournaments and summer showers.
And of course, there will be food vendors, mimes, music and farmers markets
in the local town squares.
